Lizard I was able to get close enough to photograph. It was taken at the Petrified Forest in Southern Utah

4 day old calf. It's mama and a friend were very conccerned about me taking photos. It was quite funny actually. The two of them stared me down, made a bunch of noises at me, and postured (I'm sure it was intended to be quite threatening). The calf was real small, doesn't look so much like it here.

I think mag-pies are such pretty birds, I love their black and white coloring. I felt so lucky that it landed close enough to me for the shot.

The rays from the clouds were so beautiful. This photo just doesn't give it justice, but it was so beautiful I had to try to capture it.

I know this is just a weed, but isn't it pretty. I found it so unusual I just had to take it's picture.

It was real tricky getting a photo of this grasshopper. It was no bigger than my thumbnail--seriously it was soooo teeny tiny. Plus, everytime I tried to get a better side shot it moved just enough to keep it from a good profile. Anyway, it was really cute for a grasshopper.
